美國(guó)德克薩斯大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)部(University of Texas Medical Branch-UTMB)位于美國(guó)南部的海灣旅游城市Galveston,鄰近休斯頓(Houston)。UTMB作為德州大學(xué)系統(tǒng)最古老的醫(yī)學(xué)院，有雄厚的科研基礎(chǔ)，尤其在傳染病／免疫／疫苗領(lǐng)域，其微生物免疫NIH Funding一直位于美國(guó)高校前10 (#3 in 2014)。學(xué)校擁有美國(guó)聯(lián)邦政府(NIH)建立的Galveston National Laboratory (GNL)，有BSL-3/BSL-4實(shí)驗(yàn)室；學(xué)校提供一流的科研設(shè)施和環(huán)境。

Position：
該博士后位置于UTMB微生物免疫系和Sealy疫苗研發(fā)中心Dr. Haitao Hu實(shí)驗(yàn)室，主要從事病毒免疫學(xué)和疫苗學(xué)相關(guān)研究和開(kāi)發(fā)，包括HIV/AIDS和相關(guān)機(jī)會(huì)感染如CMV/HSV-2/Ad5等。 研究項(xiàng)目廣泛靈活，考慮薄后申請(qǐng)者的個(gè)人背景和興趣，包括CD4+ T淋巴細(xì)胞和艾滋病毒(HIV)之間相互作用的細(xì)胞和分子機(jī)制，以及由基于不同病毒載體(Viral Vectors)的艾滋病疫苗誘發(fā)的免疫反應(yīng)和保護(hù)效果。實(shí)驗(yàn)室研究資金充沛，包括來(lái)自于NIH, Mapplethorpe Foundation and HVTN等著名機(jī)構(gòu)的基金支持。

Expectation：
近期或即將畢業(yè)的博士生，具有免疫學(xué)／病毒學(xué)／微生物 或其他相關(guān)生物醫(yī)學(xué)學(xué)位（分子生物學(xué)／病理學(xué)等).
掌握相關(guān)免疫學(xué)／病毒學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)技術(shù)，熟悉細(xì)胞／組織培養(yǎng)，多參數(shù)流式細(xì)胞儀，T細(xì)胞assay,細(xì)胞分型／分離等技術(shù)者為佳；有黏膜免疫學(xué)(mucosal immunology)／分子生物學(xué)及分子病毒學(xué)等背景Plus.

Multiple Postdoctoral Fellow Positions available in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology and the Sealy Center for Vaccine development at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. UTMB, a high-ranked institution in NIH funding for microbiology and infectious diseases, is located in the island city of Galveston, close to Houston, and homes to the BSL-3/4 level Galveston National Laboratory (GNL), providing excellent resources and facilities to support research in microbiology, immunology and infectious diseases. 

The candidates will conduct NIH-funded research in viral immunology and vaccine development with focus on HIV/AIDS and the associated opportunistic infections. Qualified candidates should have a PhD and/or MD in the field of immunology, virology, microbiology or related biomedical fields. Skills in cellular immunology (cell/tissue culture, flow cytometry - FACS, T cell assays) and molecular virology/Biology are desired. Experience with animal models is plus. 

Compensation will be competitive and based on candidates’ experience.
